I made a cat can backpacking stove, and after eating lukewarm stew, welded up a rocket stove in a small 32 ounce (909 ml) coffee can to replace it (where wood fires are allowed). There are commercially available flat-pack rocket-like stoves, but I don’t like the lack of insulation generally making a dirtier burn. When my stove is going, the flame is barely visible, and it makes very little smoke.
I had seen the design in Latin America and really took a liking to their efficiency. I presented on them and my build to Crash Space here.
